Foundation Title & Trust LLC
Licensed Title Agent/ Senior Processor
May 2016 – December 2017
I get asked a lot if people really need title insurance, in short, yes. Nobody wants to buy a piece of property and then discover that the property has claims placed on it. Claims on a property can lead to a legal battle that can cost the property purchaser a lot of money. Therefore, title underwriters and title agents are needed to check out titles. Title agents represent title underwriters and write the policies of the underwriter. My job duties included: Examining mortgages, liens, and contract documents and verified legal descriptions, restrictions, and ownership. Collecting evidence necessary for getting descriptions of property and details of involved parties. Examining and preparing reports related to title encumbrances found in the search activities. Confer with buyers and sellers and exchanged title-related information and settlement related details.
